The President
2RAR Association

From: Leo Van De Kamp
President, 2nd Battalion RAR Association

I have known Alf for a long time and have always admired his willingness to help others. He was a soldier’s soldier.
As a previous president of this Association, Alf provided me with a genuine friendship and his wise counsel was always appreciated. He was a man with a great sense of humour and his loss is immense. I will miss him as a friend. Alf’s only agenda ever to was to perpetuate and defend the honour of The Regiment.
This is a man who will be hugely missed and impossible to replace.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Barbara and the family at this most difficult time.
Farewell old friend. Rest in peace. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten.
