I’m seeing people wearing AASMs and theatre specific medals who have not had boots on ground and indeed have served on ships or bases far away from any danger. No wonder more real veterans are unimpressed. I had a Vietnam era Navy bloke recently told me he’s embarrassed to have received an AASM and VLSM for a few days in Vung Tay harbour under no danger. The system is deeply flawed.
Yeah mate, same here.
Anyone who’s served one day in Army, Navy or Chair Force. Joke isn’t it
I think the pin will be residing in my rubbish bin then. A valueless token.
Just who do they call a Veteran these days. I am confused.
It is about time to see something being done if only you would understand that your pensions are a larger concern but I thank you for this.
