The RAR Corporation offers its condolences – 20 Feb 2011

The Chairman of the RAR Corporation Michael von Berg MC has offered his deepest sympathies to the family of Sapper Jamie Robert Larcombe, who was killed in action during operations in Afghanistan on Saturday 19th February 2011.

Sapper Larcombe was serving with 1st Combat Engineer Regiment on operations with Mentoring Task Force 2 when he tragically lost his life following an action against insurgents while on patrol in the Mirabad Valley.

“Our Regiment Corporation and its member RAR Association’s thoughts and prayers are with Jamie’s family, and his mates serving in Afghanistan with The Royal Australian Engineers Regiment.”

“We honour Jamie’s service and grieve the sacrifice he has made. His spirit will live on in Australia’s military history.”
