Troops call for better access to yoga and meditation

As the Australian Defence Force grapples with post-traumatic stress disorder among troops, former and active personnel are calling for better access to emerging therapies like yoga and meditation.

Yoga classes and specially designed meditation are already being used on some Australian military bases with promising results.

Former and active troops concede that military leaders and doctors are increasingly accepting of non-medical treatments, but they say some soldiers are still missing out on the benefits.
