Opinion:

I commend you read this Newsletter in full to appreciate the work of RSL Qld State Branch in supporting the Defence Family. IMO it is the most successful Australian RSL State Branch.

You will see from this Newsletter their active involvement in the delivery of services both direct and through partnerships, and increasingly advocacy to the Qld Government and through RSL National to the Federal Government.

In the latter the new State President Major General Stephen Day has activated the revitalisation of RSL National’s advocacy profile (Note the recent RSL National Forums) and appointing to RSL Qld’s organisation a Government Relations position (Nina McKenzie).

RSL Qld’s is very good at keeping Qld veterans’ organisations (both Ex-Service Organisations (ESOs) and Veteran Support Organisations (VSOs) informed of current activities. See the article RSL Queensland and Legacy Brisbane ESO Forum – 10 May 2023 and READ MORE to see the scope and depth of the presentations.
