Warrior Poet – For all who have loved and lost

Why, Oh Why?

Night and day I wonder where you are
And when we’ll meet again, just the two of us together
Perhaps beneath some distant twinkling star
Far from reach of dark sickness and hints of stormy weather

If only I could hold you, just once again
Such contentment and joy it would bring
Gone would be deep constant cutting pain
My re-born happiness to the world I’d loudly sing

Such dreams are dreams which linger and never end
Yet stark reality reaches out which I cannot deny
No matter how many long, long nights when I pretend
You’re no longer here, and all I can ask of God is why?
